Truth

1st Reading:  Acts 18:1-8

Gospel:  Jn 16:16-20

…”Truly I say to you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices.  You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn to joy.”

The gospel reminds me that only the truth is worth pursuing. The lures of the world is so strong, we sometimes confuse ourselves with wants that appeared to be needs.  The standard of this world is not the same with God’s.

God’s wisdom is foolishness to men and vice versa.

Even what appears to be a good thing does not necessarily mean good to God.
