“Mommy, can you sleep again beside me?”  my little 4 year old woke up when I was doing my usual 4’0clock in the morning routine.  It’s almost 5 in the morning and I was about to wrap up my sanctuary time to get breakfast ready.  She was standing beside me and was begging me to go to bed again.

“I don’t want to have a bad dream so you have to pray a beautiful prayer and hug me on the bed,” I complied, went to bed, hugged her and we both prayed.  She did not sleep but continued to ask why she can’t feel Jesus and Mama Mary.  I said, “It’s alright, I’m here”  trying to put her to sleep again.  I want her to feel Jesus through my warmth.

I can’t answer all her questions, I don’t have all the answers though I wish I had.

I don’t have superpowers, but like any mothers I have God given  powers to calm and soothe my own child’s  fears.
