I witnessed how a sick person longs to bring back the health he once had.  If only he took care of himself more when he was younger.  Regrets can never bring back the past.

Whenever we encounter people who could no longer nurse themselves to health, it should be a wake up call to change our lifestyle – an opportunity to turn around while it’s not too late.

They say every situation is an opportunity to learn.  There are lessons from every individual we come in contact with.  No meetings and incidents are accidents because everything happens for a reason.  Try to look back and find meaning in every circumstances.  All we have to do is to perceiving.

Let us thank our creator for this gift called Life.  Let us be grateful for every stuff that we call ordinary.  To   a sick person who could  no longer walk – walking is a gift; for someone who finds it hard to breathe – breathing is a gift; for a cancer patient who is losing his hair – having a hair no matter how frizzy or dry or tangled is a gift.

Those things that we considered ordinary, those gifts that we take for granted because they seem like normal occurrence becomes a privilege when it is taken from us.

So the next time you feel exhausted from all the chores, stress from all the deadlines, emotionally depleted from taking care of everyone else but yourself, just rest, pause, and utter a breath prayer of “thanks.”

Just say, “thank you God for this able body.  I can still breathe, walk, hear, eat, sing, and touch.  Thank you that I’m still alive.”

To God be the Glory!

It would be nice to hear from you…
