A Story About Second Chances by Brendon Burchard

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you

will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ – Philippians 1:6

My third free book from Brendon Burchard. You can’t imagine how generous this author is, as always, I just paid for the shipping.

At first I was surprise to find out that Life’s Golden Ticket was a fiction. I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of Brendon Burchard writing a fiction. It wasn’t what I was expecting from the author who wrote instructional books.  I just got used to his genre of writing that I boxed him into an author who just writes a certain type of book.  Or maybe, forgive my ignorance, I’m only aware of the 2 previous books I got for free, that he might have written a fiction before.

At first I have to force myself to read the first few pages.  I just thought that I’ve graduated from fiction and it will take some time for me to read stories again. What kept me going was the idea that Life’s Golden Ticket is a book from the author who wrote books that I love. So, I held on to the idea that his latest book must have something in store for his avid readers.

The last few pages were inspirational indeed.  Though the story did not move me to tears, I read the lines twice. With due respect to the best-selling author, here’s the excerpt from the book…

“We all get to the point where we decide to become stronger. When we start that process, a lot of people unknowingly stop our progress by trying to protect us or to keep us living according to the label they’ve created for us…

…I became who I wanted to be because I didn’t get trapped in other people’s ideas of who I should be. That is how I went from mouse to Strong Man Mike.” Brendon Burchard

Reading these lines stirred me to consciousness. This is exactly what happened to a lot of us. All our life, we let other people sanctioned us into how they see us. Most of them well-meaning people who don’t want us to get hurt but won’t allow us to grow at the same time.

So if you’re weary of the same grind your life has been bringing you, let this book direct you a new path of your own choosing.

It would be nice to hear from you…
