The kind of sacrifice that God desires is OBEDIENCE….  

I know what God wants, I just don’t want what God wants…

If you want to love God, you have to be obedient to God…

There were times in my life that I chose to please a person. It have been a friend or just someone whom I didn’t want to cross hair with. I chose to please them rather than please God.  

When I look back, I admit I chose to go against my belief system. I did it because I didn’t want to disappoint such a person. I was a coward! A compromising Catholic!

For this, I pray to the Holy Spirit who is the source of all my strength. I want to defend my belief and stand by my faith. I prefer this over being concerned with what others might say about me.

Oh Holy Spirit, Strengthen My Resolve

If I’m with people with distorted intentions
Who will lead me in the wrong path
Deliver me from them
Strengthen my resolve

If I have to make the right decision
Despite what the majority says
And I know that I have to stand my ground
Strengthen my resolve

Do not let me be discourage
Take away my cowardice
Remind me that it is YOU who speaks for me
It is YOU who gives me the words to say

I will listen to Your guidance all the days of my life
I will listen to Your counsel all the days of my life
I will consult You with all my decisions all the days of my life
I will long for Your presence all the days of my life
