I noticed that if I chose to respond, I am more intentional with my decisions. Being reactive doesn’t do me any good most of the time. I thought there’s something wrong with me because I have delayed reactions most of the time. Now, it serves me better.

A quick reaction has its place in a life and death situation. In ordinary life challenges, prudence is more useful.
I was glad I didn’t lash out to the person who was rude to me. I don’t have to stoop down to his superior-insecurity. To the person whose past time is to get mad, I truly hope you stop being scared. They say a person who is always angry is a person who is really scared. Thus, the need to control every situation or the people around him.
Sometimes I regress. I act differently at those times. However, I ask the Queen of Humility, the Blessed Virgin Mary herself to help me respond with love. Yes, with love. Even to the people I find difficult to love. Even to the people who test my patience with their arrogance.
